As organizations continue strengthening global supply chain due diligence, they are increasingly being asked to request, review, and share supplier information across borders. Understanding what information to request, how to communicate those requests, and how to exchange information appropriately has become an important part of supporting responsible sourcing, international business relationships, and evolving compliance expectations.

Led by Shawn Harwood, Partner at Squire Patton Boggs, this interactive virtual workshop provides practical guidance for navigating global cross-border supply chain labor compliance due diligence and information exchange. Attendees will gain a better understanding of recent global developments affecting supplier communications, why certain types of information may raise legal or commercial concerns, and practical approaches for requesting and sharing information in a more disciplined, risk-aware manner.

Through real-world examples and facilitated discussion, participants will explore wording used in communication strategies, supplier questionnaires, benchmarking requests, and cross-border information exchange while learning practical approaches to support supply chain visibility and the Reasonable Care Standard. Attendees are encouraged to submit questions and scenarios in advance to CR@aiag.org to help shape the discussion.

As an added benefit, workshop participants will receive a 20% discount toward registration for the AIAG Forced Labor Due Diligence Conference on September 1*, where they can continue the conversation through OEM perspectives, a hands-on DDRT 2.1 tutorial, and technology demonstrations. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet Shawn in person as he joins the conference to share additional perspectives on proactive strategies for addressing supply chain disruptions.
